This site was born out of real questions, real mistakes, and a real desire to get a grip on money without losing your mind (or your joy). It started with one person — a New Yorker out of college, overwhelmed by expenses, student loans, and the cost of life in the city.

So came the books, the budgeting spreadsheets, the trial and error. And eventually — a system that worked.

PocketRise was built to share that system, and to keep improving it with a community of people who want to save smarter, spend intentionally, and invest with confidence.
